Treetop trails - Lipno, Neuschönau
In addition to the spectacular views, there's plenty of fun to be had on any trail.
From the Lipenská stezka you can go down the toboggan, which measures 52 m and winds through the center of the observation tower.
Here you will find 11 adrenaline-filled and educational corners, which are created according to the trail. You will test your balance at a height of 24 m and playfully expand your knowledge of the forest and nature around you.
You will learn here how the birds live around the trail, but also in the entire Šumava region.
South Bohemia is a region full of beautiful places, but also excellent musicians. To do this, imagine a scene at 24 meters, where the tips of Šumava spruces gently sway around you, unique lighting, surprising acoustics of a wooden lookout tower carrying the sound of instruments. Concerts take place every holiday Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The trail is open until 11 p.m. during concerts.
The trail in Neuschönau is the longest treetop trail in the world, measuring a total of 1,300 meters. It runs above the ground at a height of 10 to 25 meters. The slightly terraced terrain and route of the trail ensure that the maximum 6% gradient is not exceeded anywhere and the footbridge is barrier-free. The observation tower, called the Bavarian Eiffel, measures 44 meters and is accessible up to a height of 40 meters. Across the mountains Luzný (Lusen) and Roklan (Rachel) stretches an endless sea of Bavarian and Czech forests. On clear days, visitors can also see the main northern ridge of the Alps across its entire width from east to west.
On the trail there is a so-called "forest island" habitat among the treetops of the Bavarian Forest
Make a stop at the forest island, where there is a 270 m2 wooden platform with a hammock suspended at a height of 20 meters.
