In the exhibition, you can touch the secrets and wisdom of our ancestors with your own hands.
You will find that the wood is still "alive" even after the tree has been cut down and can change, which can really confuse us in some cases. What at first glance seems like a mystery or great science, we will show you in a simple and understandable way.
Part of the exhibition is a shop where you can find traditional wooden products, both ours and those of other craftsmen from Šumava. The toys are of Czech provenance, made using safe colors for children, from companies that have safety certificates.
There is an opportunity to buy a traditional Modravian product – a hand-painted wooden bird.
There is an experience workshop in the visitor center for children and adults. Here you can make a small souvenir yourself, which you can use to please someone close to you or which will be a permanent reminder of a pleasant day spent in Modrava.
The workshop also includes a small children's corner where your little ones can have a great time.
Every day, Monday to Sunday - painting wooden birds, dolls, animals...
Twice a week (if possible depending on the rain) production of glass beads on the glassmaker's kahan. The courses will be led by Mrs. Alena Kyrálová and Hedvika Zahálková.
