Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Šumava. Right now, the Alps can often be seen from various places in the Šumava, and you can even see far into the Czech hinterland. Wait for a cool, clear day with an inversion, stand up a bit (the best visibility is in the morning) and you might see a panorama you won't forget.
